From entrepreneur to commercial real estate professional
A former entrepreneur, Ray owned and operated a successful heating and air conditioning company in southwestern Ontario for 17 years before embarking on his commercial real estate career with Royal LePage (now Cushman Wakefield) in 1985. He was elected to the Cushman Hall of Fame in 2008 for his exemplary sales record and contributions to the company. Ray joined Avison Young in 2010 and collaborated with a small team to open the company’s first southwestern Ontario office. In 2025, Ray joined Lennard Commercial Realty—a better fit for him personally, which in turn, benefits his clients in commercial real estate.
Commitment to the community
Over the years, Ray has participated on several local government committees in Kitchener, including the Economic Advisory Committee for four years, and was appointed as one of three professionals to the Centre Block Committee. His contributions to the City of Kitchener were recognized by its Mayor who presented Ray with the Award of Merit. Ray is personally committed to giving back to the community and has worked with various charitable organizations, such as ARC Industries and the Tim Hortons Foundation Camps.
