Relevant Experience and Strengths
Jim is a founding partner of Lennard Commercial, commencing work in commercial real estate in 1984 after graduating from the University of Calgary with a B.Comm. He learned the fundamentals of integrity and real estate working by working closely with Gordon Lennard. With his two partners Jim initiated the purchase of the company in 1999.
Jim is the inventor of The Space Program®, Lennard’s highly successful proprietary planning process. The Space Program® provides the planning structure tools necessary to maximize real estate potential.
Over the last 26 years Jim has negotiated leases with every major landlord in Toronto and is representing clients across Canada and in the U.S.
Jim is the author of the widely respected Toronto market analysis, The “Q™ Office Market Commentary. He is an active member of the The National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) and has organized real estate Idea Exchanges in North America, Europe and the Middle East.
Jim is a member of the Toronto Chapter Lambda Alpha International (LAI) the Honorary Society for the advancement of land economics. LAI members are invited based on making significant contributions to the advancement of real estate brokerage in Toronto.
Jim specializes in office leasing in the Toronto GTA. He is a winner of the prestigious NAIOP Toronto GTA Office Lease Deal of the Year Award, and the Oxford ACE Award completing Oxford’s largest new transaction in 2008 on behalf of Ridout & Maybee LLP.
As a member of the capital committee for The Geneva Centre for Autism, Jim was recently instrumental in securing two buildings and raising $260,000 towards the new Adult Centre for Geneva’s midtown campus. Jim is a member of The Real Estate Council of Ontario and The Toronto Real Estate Board.
